The owners of pet dogs and cats in Mysuru have an opportunity to provide their animals free treatment as People For Animals (PFA), Mysuru, is conducting free health camp for pet animals ‘Pet Vet Camp’ on July 17, 18, 20 and 21, at PFA premises in Roopa Nagar, Bogadi .
Addressing media persons here on Wednesday, Pet Vet Camp President G Prakash said that a team of 16 vets lead by Dr Gangadhar Patil from countries like the USA, Germany and Italy will work at the PFA shelter in collaboration with the in-house staff, vets and volunteers during the four-day camp.
The PFA-World Vet collaborative event will see spay, neuter procedures on the city’s strays in addition to free consultation services for pet owners. Persons interested in opting for spay/neuter procedures for their pets have been asked to feed their pets 10-12 hours before the surgery and bring them to the camp. As space in the shelter is limited, registrations are open on a first- come- first-served basis. Other free services include Anti rabies vaccination and de-worming. Lab tests, X-ray and other medicines will be offered at nominal costs, he added.
