JSS Institute of Speech and Hearing and JSS Hospital Mysuru in collaboration with Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for Speech and Hearing Disabilities, Mumbai, conducted a free hearing aid distribution camp at Sri RajendraBhavan, Mysuru, recently.
A total of 270 hearing aids were distributed for 203 patients in JSS Polytechnic for differently-abled and JSS Hospital during the camp. Patients having income less than Rs 15,000 per month and BPL card holders got benefited from the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman, N R Group of Companies, R Guru, said that nothing could stop people with hearing disability from achieving something they aim at if they get proper rehabilitation and therapy. He advised people with hearing impairment to get benefited from these kinds of opportunities.
Appreciating JSS Mahavidhyapeetha for its kind gesture, former Director, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysuru, Dr N Rathna said that the Mahavidyapeetha had done a commendable job helping people lead normal lives.
