Mysuru, August 23:- A case has been registered after 25 years in connection with cheating over a site ownership.
Nagaiah, a resident of Alanahalli here, has lodged a complaint at Nazarbad Police Station after learning that his site had been registered in another person’s name. Nagaiah had been allotted a 25×30 site at Vijayanagar 2nd Stage by Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) on November 22, 1990. On the same day, he received a provisional acquisition letter from MUDA.
On May 19, 1993, Nagaiah’s friend H C Chandregowda took possession of the acquisition letter at the Registrar’s office and offered a loan amount of Rs 10,000 to Nagaiah.
In the complaint lodged against Chandregowda, Nagaiah has alleged that his friend Chandregowda cheating him by registering the site in his name. A case has been registered at Nazarbad Police Station. Investigations are on. (KS, NGB)
