Prime News, State (Bengaluru), July 11:- The proposed state-wide strike on July 12 by Petroleum Dealers’ Association (PDA) has been called off.
Earlier, Petroleum Dealers’ Association (PDA) had called for a state-wide strike on July 12 in protest against the central government’s decision to revise the petrol and diesel prices on a daily basis.
The PDA said that the Union Petroleum Ministry has assured that the association’s demands including increase in commission will be discussed and resolved, the ministry has formed a committee to look into the association’s demands.
PDA said that the committee constituted by the union petroleum ministry will give its final report by August 15 and also the ministry has promised to revise the commission paid to dealers from August 1, 2017.
On the backdrop of the Ministry assurances, the PDA decided to call off the proposed strike on July 12.
