Mysuru, September 7:- “Each drop of Gauri Lankesh’s blood will rewrite history. It will lead to the birth of lakhs of Gauris,” said Basavalingaiah, former director of Rangayana.
He was speaking at the obituary meeting held at Mysuru Press Club, here on Thursday.
“By killing her physically, her ideologies and works cannot be forgotten. It will take another 50-60 years to witness another Gauri Lankesh. The blood of those who take on the ruling class often flows on the road,” he said.
“Gauri Lankesh had ‘died’ during demonetisation. It was extremely difficult for her to lead the tabloid. She had discussed about it with me over phone. It shows how media has been hit. The media is now running behind TRP (Television Rating Performance),” said senior journalist Krishna Prasad.
“Gauri Lankesh’s murder has been condemned at national and international level. The Prime Minister who tweets over everything has not even responded to Gauri’s murder. This should be considered seriously,” he appealed the Chief Minister.
Mysuru Press Club president C K Mahendra, Lokesh Babu, former president Deepak, B S Prabhurajan and others were present.
