Gear up to implement Mukhyamantri Anila Bhagya Scheme: Minister Dr Mahadevappa tells officials

Mysuru, November 6:- “The much anticipated scheme to provide LPG connections to all the families in the state, Mukhyamantri Anila Bhagya will be implemented as soon as possible. Officials need to gear up for the implementation of the project,” said District In-charge and PWD Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa.

He was speaking at a meeting held to discuss about the implementation of the scheme with the government officials at Government Guest House at Nazarbad here on Sunday.

“Families who do not have LPG connection and have Antyodaya Anna Yojane ration cards are eligible for the scheme. For the first phase, the selection of beneficiaries will be completed by the month end, and the second phase will be completed by the end of December,” the minister added.

“19,872 beneficiaries are there in the district. 6,322 beneficiaries will be provided with LPG in the first phase. Every beneficiary gets a deposit of Rs 1,450, regulator safety deposit of Rs 150, Suraksha hose deposit of Rs 190, DGC book fee of Rs 50, two burner gas stove worth Rs 1,000 and two LPG cylinders worth Rs 1,100 will be provided, which makes it Rs 4,040. In the first phase, 174 beneficiaries from Mysuru taluk, 33 from H D Kote, 2187 from K R Nagar taluk, three from Hunsur taluk, 952 from Periyapattana taluk and 2,972 beneficiaries from T Narasipur taluk will be selected,” said Dr Ka Rameshwarappa, deputy director of Food and Civil Supplies Department.

MLAs Vasu, MK Somashekhar, Deputy Commissioner D Randeep, Zilla Panchayat CEO Shivashankar and others were present.
