Mysuru, December 10:- Department of Basic Science and Cultural Club of GSSSIETW, Mysuru, celebrated Gita Jayanti on Monday to commemorate the auspicious day of the advent of Srimad Bhagavad Gita. This was the day on which Lord Krishna imparted the essence of Vedic knowledge to Arjuna over 5000 years ago and enlightened him about the ultimate goal of human life.
Gunarnava Dasa, ISKCON, Mysuru, was the chief guest of the event. He emphasised the importance of the message of Bhagavad Gita in today’s life. Bhagavad Gita is the most widely known Vedic literature in the world explaining about the self, creator, prakruti, karma and kala. If one adopts the principles of Bhagavad Gita, he can make his/her life perfect and make a permanent solution to all the problems of life. Bhagavad Gita is a science and it is a manual for human life given by Lord Krishna.
GSSSIETW principal Dr M Shivakumar urged the students to inculcate the principles of Bhagavad Gita to lead a happy life.
Vanaja B Pandit, secretary, GSSS, in her presidential address emphasised the importance of principles of Bhagavad Gita to overcome routine stressful life.
