‘Giving Back’ – A Podar volunteer programme held at Jayadeva Hospital

Mysuru, March 4:- The intention of Podar volunteer programme is to help students participate in activities that benefit the community or environment in some way. As part of this programme, students of Podar International School at Hebbal Industrial Area in Mysuru were involved in creating ‘thanking’ cards for nurses who serve our society with selfless intention and caring hands.

The profession of nurse is not easy, but needs a lot of courage and dedication. They take care of people like their family and make the patient feel at home. They need to be thanked for their selfless service and to be recognised for their contribution to society.

Students of 5th B class, created their artistic cards holding the message of the definition of a hero who works continuously sacrificing their life for the well being of the society. Nurses are part of it. On Tuesday, the students went to Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research on KRS Road in the city and appreciated the service given by the nurses to the society, by wishing them with the ‘Thanks Giving’ cards.

Vijaya and Seema accompanied the kids to the hospital.  Sivadasan helped the students to prepare the cards and looked after the overall process.  (MR)
