Proclaimed masseur arrested in cheating cases

Mysuru, January 2:- Lashkar Police have arrested a person accused of cheating people in the name of offering massage services. The proclaimed masseur would invite gullible people to his place, drug them before stealing their valuables.

The arrested has been identified as Sumesh K P alias Dharmaraj, 30 of Mallapuram District in Kerala. During an inquiry, he confessed to stealing money and valuables by contacting customers.

He is accused of cheating people in Mysuru, Mandya, Bengaluru, Hassan, and Kolar. The police have recovered 203-gram gold worth Rs 6.10 lakh and Rs 1,720 in cash. This arrest has solved 10 theft cases.

The operation was carried out by Police Inspector H R Vivekananda, PSI Pooja, Parashivamurthy, Lokesh, Vijay Kumar, Lingaraju, Pradeep and Shivaraj. (MR/KS)
