Good culture is important for overall development of students: Amshi Prasanna Kumar

Mysuru, December 18:- “Students should always strive for knowledge. Our culture is the greatest of all. Students should have better culture for overall development,” said senior journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar. He was speaking after inaugurating the 14th annual day of Vijaya Vittala PU College on Tuesday.

“Students should cultivate better ideologies in life. They should have positive feeling, confidence and helping nature. Along with education, take part in extra-curricular activities as well,” he said.

“The role of students is important in bringing a good name for education institutions. Principals, teachers and parents should also work for the development of the students. Parents should not pressurise their children to score more marks,” said deputy director of PU education department, Dr BN Nagarathna.

Principal of the college, H Sathyaprasad presented the annual report of the college. Dr Nagarathna inaugurated the website of the college on the occasion.

Trustee of the college Srikanth Das, secretary R Vasudeva Bhat, and others were present. (MR\GK).
