‘Goonda’ govt of Congress ruling in Karnataka: AH Vishwanath

Mysuru, March 12:- “The Indian Police Service (IPS) Officers’ Association which expressed serious disappointment over the state of affairs in the Siddaramaiah government in the state has once again proved that the present Congress government is a ‘Goonda’ government,” said former Lok Sabha member and Janata Dal (Secular) leader AH Vishwanath.

Taking a jibe at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Congress government in the state at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club here on Monday, Vishwanath said “The letter from the senior IPS Officers to the Chief Secretary of Karnataka has proved that law and order situation in the state is collapsed under the present government and this has come as a severe embarrassment to the state government.”

“Ahead of the Assembly elections in the state, the Congress government is planning to take all the powers into their hand and create a ruckus. They are interfering in the duty of bureaucrats and IPS officers, thereby creating a tense situation in the state,” he added.

“The Congress which aims to come back to power again is welcoming corrupt persons including businessman and MLA Ashok Kheny, Santhosh Lad, Anand Singh and others.  This reflects the state of affairs similar to the one in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar states which were rocked with a series of violence, and law and order problem,” Vishwanath said.

“In order to gain cheap popularity, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is in a hurry and engaged in tape-cutting activities despite the works being not completed. During his recent tour in Mysuru, Siddaramaiah inaugurated various buildings and welfare works which is still due for functioning. This certainly proves that Congress is in fear to face the Assembly elections,” he added.
