New Delhi, September 10:- A Karnataka government delegation led by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Monday.
Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) supremo H D Deve Gowda, Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar, Ministers H D Revanna, DK Shivakumar, RV Deshpande, Krishnegowda and other officials met PM Modi to seek funds for reconstruction of places ravaged by floods and landslides in Kodagu District and in the state.
Kumaraswamy called on PM Modi and sought funds for reconstruction of places ravaged in the recent floods. He had also met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh recently and urged him to sanction more funds.
The Karnataka government, in its initial report estimated losses of Rs 3,435.80 crores due to floods. -KK
