Mysuru, December 25:- “Rape incidents are increasing in the state day by day. The rape and murder of 9th standard student Danamma have made us bow our heads in shame,” said district president of Karnataka Senapade, Tejesh Lokesh Gowda. He was speaking at a protest held in front of DC office on Saturday.
“Since the Congress formed the government in Karnataka, such incidents have increased. The state government has miserably failed in arresting the accused in the deaths of D K Ravi, Ganapathy, Gauri Lankesh and now Danamma. Whoever has committed the crime should be arrested and hanged to death. They should understand how brutal a death is. The state government which says it supports the Dalits has done nothing for them,” he added.
“Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should take this case seriously and arrest the accused,” he urged.
Prajish, Shanthamurthy, Sunil, Radhakrishna, Harish Babu, Mini Bangarappa and others were present. (MR/KS).
