Mysuru, January 10:- “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is misusing the state treasury funds and power. I have filed a complaint regarding it with the Chief Secretary,” said former minister and Janata Dal (Secular) leader AH Vishwanath.
Addressing a press meet in the city on Wednesday, Vishwanath said “The Congress-led state government has misused the power and funds. Siddaramaiah and his government is utilising the state funds for party’s publicity ahead of the 2018 Assembly polls in the state. The Chief Minister without using the platform to share the achievements of the government is appealing the people to cast votes in favour of his party. This is nothing but misuse of the government funds.”
“The Congress government in the state has nearly spent Rs 1300 crore for advertisements. In the name of Nava Karnataka Yatre, the state government is looting the state treasury,” he added.
“The government declares that it is corruption-free, but has miserably failed to put an end to the corruption in the police department, taluk offices, MUDA, RTO and other departments,” Vishwanath said. -(KMR, KK)
