Mysuru, June 4:- “Education sector is sacred. It should be represented by honest people. In the Legislative Council on June 8, voters should not get lured by freebies. They have to elect able candidates,” said the state president of the union of teachers’ associations at a press meet at Mysuru press club on Saturday.
“Candidates who will work for the teachers should only win the election. Teachers should say no to communal forces. The MLC who represented the constituency had offered non-veg meal near Adichunchanagiri mutt. I have proof of him scolding a teacher who went to the MLC seeking help. Niranjan Murthy of the BJP, in an advertisement, said that equal pay for teachers, which is impossible. He went ahead and told one religion one caste, which is against communal harmony. I will stage a legal fight against Niranjan Murthy,” he added.
Dasappa Shetty, K Shivanna, Nanjappa, Shanmukharadya, and others were present. (MR/KMR).
