Mysuru, September 3:- GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Department of MBA, conducted its first Graduation Day ceremony of Master of Business Administration 2017-2019 batch on Thursday (August 29).
The opening of this grand event was declared open by Vanaja B Pandit, honorary secretary, GSSS. The event was inaugurated by chief guest B Thej Kumar, Associate VP, Toyoda Gosei South India Pvt Ltd and the guest of honour Savitha Chandrahas, chief manager, Oriental Bank of Commerce.
The parents of the graduating students were also a part of this happy moment.
Chief guest Thej Kumar addressed the gathering and congratulated the students on completing the course. He explained about the students’ role in the institution and how they should be grateful to the institution that they studied at and how they have to give back to the institution and to the society.
He urged them to be responsible citizens of the country and be loyal and committed to the job that they choose.
Savitha Chandrahas, pointed the challenges faced by the women fraternity when they start working. She gave vital tips to all the students on how to manage both work and home.
She also called upon the parents to allow their daughters to dream big and chase their dreams. She said that being a woman should not restrict them to achieve their goals. She gave examples of many successful women leaders like former PepsiCo CEO Indira Nooyi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, how they chased their dream and urged the students to emulate them.
The dignitaries on dais presented the graduation certificates to the students. Followed by the oath ceremony led by Dr Aparna J Varma, associate professor, GSSSIETW. (MR)
