Gram Panchayat workers stage protest; urge govt to fulfill demands

Mysuru, June 5:- The members of Gram Panchayat Workers’ Association staged protest today urging for the fulfillment of various demands in front of Zilla Panchayat (ZP) office premises here.

They urged the government to provide information of the employees to get their salaries through Electronic Fund Transfer System (EFMS) and urged to direct the same to EO and PDOs. They asked the government to release the pending salaries from the past 17-18 months, to provide pension to retiring workers and promotion in work. They submitted a memorandum to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ZP.

District president of the association K Basavaraj, treasurer Lokesh, secretary Manigowda, Siddaraju, Prakash Kanagal, Madesh D M, Nanjundaswamy, Varuna Nagaraj and others were present. (GK, NGB)
