Grand procession marks Hanuma Jayanti in Mysuru

Mysuru, December 20:- As part of Hanuma Jayanti celebrations at Hanuman Temple at Gangothri Layout here, a procession was inaugurated at the Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple near the north gate of Mysuru Palace on Thursday.

Former MLA late HS Shankaralinge Gowda was instrumental in building the Hanuman Temple. Since then, Hanuma Jayanti is being observed with fervour.

Staying in tune with the custom, a statue of the Lord Hanuma was taken in a procession, while various art forms stole the show. The procession passed through Ashoka Road, Irwin Road, Sir M Visvesvaraya Circle at Ayurveda Medical College, Field Marshal KM Cariappa Circle (Metropole Circle), Kukkarahalli Lake Road, Ramaswamy Circle and culminated at Gangothri Layout.

Trustees of the temple Nagalakshmi Shankaralingegowda, Nandish Pritam and others were present. (MR/KS)
