Grievances meeting: SP interacts with staff

Will take up their issues with the higher-ups: Channannavar

Police dedicate their entire day for the welfare of the society. They get busy with their work of maintaining the law and order so much so that they get no time to dedicate time to their personal lives. They do face a lot of problems in their profession, but they have no one to discuss these problems with and find solutions. But for the first time, Superintendent of Police, Ravi D Channannavar listened to the problems of his staff.

Channannavar organised grievance meet at D R Parade grounds on Monday to know the problems of the police personnel. He listened to all the problems of the police in right earnest since morning. He spoke to the police officials in person to know the problems related to work and other issues.

Speaking to City Today, Channannavar said, “Police dedicate their lives for the service of the society. They can’t discuss their problems and difficulties with everyone. They do not get enough time even to look after their health. They dedicate even their personal lives for the work. To know the problems they are facing and to find out the possible solutions, we have organised this meet.”

SP said, “They said that they are not getting enough water supplies. The police quarters are not good enough to reside. They do not get enough time to rest and take care of their health. The salary is not enough look after the family and they have requested for a hike in their salary. I have collected information regarding all the problems and will send it to the higher officials and will try to solve their grievances.”

Additional DySP Vikram Matti was present on the occasion.
