Mysuru, January 1:- Ministry of Education, government of India has initiated ‘Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA)’ to systematically rank education institutions and universities primarily on innovation-related indicators.
ARIIA considers all major indicators which are commonly used to rank the most innovative education institutions/ universities in India.
GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women, Mysuru, has been recognised under the Band Excellence category of Private/Self-Financed College/Institutes declared by MoE Innovation Cell, Government of India on December 29.
The scores obtained by GSSSIETW for Innovation, Research. Students & Faculty Academic excellence, Entrepreneurship among students and faculties, Teaching and Learning on Innovation / IPR / Research indicate good ranking amongst participating institutions.
Vanaja B Pandit, secretary, GSSS; R K Bharath, CEO and board member, GSSS; Anupama B Pandit, administrative officer, GSSS, have congratulated the efforts of the principal, HoDs, faculty members and students of GSSSIETW for the achievement.
GSSSIETW is committed to providing the highest quality engineering education for women students and has created a benchmark on par with other reputed institutes in the Mysuru region.
Dr Shivakumar M, Principal of the institute emphasised “It is an honour for a self-financing engineering institution to be one among the Band Excellence Institutions across the country.”
The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) has secured a 4 Star Rating from MoE Innovation Cell consecutively for the past three years since 2019.
An active Entrepreneurship Development Cell exists and offers “Open Learning Programme in Entrepreneurship,” in association with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), for students to turn out as entrepreneurs. The EDC cell regularly organises various entrepreneurship awareness camps with the support of DST to increase the confidence level of the students and improve their entrepreneurial skillset. hackathons, idea competitions, technical competitions have been conducted regularly for bringing out the students’ innovative and creative skills.
The IPR Cell has organised various seminars and workshops for the benefit of faculty members and students.
