GSSSIETW holds MBA and MTech course inaugural programme

Mysuru, March 4:- GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, organised the inaugural function of the first-year post-graduate classes in MBA and MTech for the academic year 2021-22 on Thursday (March 3).

Hanumanth C R, Managing Director, Centennial Land Holding Pvt Ltd and DRC Cinemas, Mysuru, was the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Hanumanth stressed the importance of women empowerment and their responsibilities in nation-building. He advised the students to equip themselves with knowledge and practical skills to be productive at the workplace. He called upon the students to build character and improve their creativity, learn to manage situations and improve leadership skills.

Hanumanth underlined the importance of utilising opportunities as women by developing positive traits and succeeding in the examination of life.

Dr Nagalingappa G, Professor and Head, Department of MBA, welcomed the chief guest and the other dignitaries. Dr S Meenakshi Sundaram, Professor and Head, CSE Department introduced the chief guest to the audience.

Vanaja B Pandit, Secretary, GSSS, who delivered the presidential address emphasised the importance of skill development and self-discipline among students and its importance in achieving professional excellence. She also distributed stationery items to the PG students.

Dr Shivakumar M, Principal, GSSSIETW, gave a brief introduction about the PG programmes and the various curricular and extracurricular activities organised by the college for the benefit of the students. He also highlighted various MoUs signed by GSSSIETW with leading industries and foreign universities.

Dr Shivakumar said the students will benefit through the value-added courses, certification programmes and other programmes organised by the college that bridges the gap between the academic and the industry.

Mahadeva Prasad, Head of Training and Placement, GSSSIETW, briefed about the various skill development and personality development programmes offered by the placement department to enhance the employability skills of the students.

Dr Rajendra R Patil, Professor and Head, Department of ECE, proposed the vote of thanks.
