Mysuru, May 10:- An open day project exhibition “Shakthi Sthaavara-2019” was organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, in association with ISLE Student chapter, Karnataka Centre and Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd., here recently.
The event was inaugurated by chief guest Adarsh S, founder and director at Enhanced Education Pvt Ltd., vice president – growth and strategy, North America, Excel Soft Technologies.
The chief guest addressed the participants to build innovative projects and inculcate the entrepreneurial skills to become job creators than the job seekers. He asked the students to continue their research and project works in the field of electrical engineering. The inaugural function was followed by the project exhibition. The students from various colleges and GSSSIETW participated and presented their project models in the event.
The jury members for the event were Dr A.D.Srinivasan, professor Department of EEE, JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru and Dr Bhagyashree S R, professor, Department of ECE, ATME, Mysuru.
The projects were demonstrated in four different domains namely electronics and communication, IOTs and its applications, power and energy system, electrical machines and automation. Among the 40 plus teams of students who presented their project models, four teams were selected as best projects and were awarded a cash prizes along with participation certificate.
The four teams which bagged the awards are Preetham V, Satish B, Danish Junaidi, Syed Hajira for the project “Semiconductor-based Refrigeration Using Temperature Duty Cycle Technique” from VVCE Mysuru; Manoj Gowda K, Sajid Ahmed E S, Shambhavi K N, Divya K R for the project “Rapid Prototype Using Additive Manufacturing” from VVCE Mysuru; Meghana K S, Mythri C A, Swathi S, Tanishk M T for “Smart Village” from GSSSIETW Mysuru and Suraj Sudhakar for “Cross Function Agribot” from Global Academy of Technology, Bengaluru.
The rest of the teams who presented their working models, simulations received the participation certificates.
Dr M Shivakumar, principal GSSSIETW, Mysuru; Dr S Vagdevi, dean – academics, professor and HoD, Department of EEE, staffs and students of the department and the participants from various engineering colleges were present. (MR)
