GSSSIETW records best placements for 2020 outgoing batch

Mysuru, May 4:- GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology College for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, has recorded best placements amid the coronavirus crisis for the 2020 outgoing batch students. The average salary offered for the placed students has seen a jump of 28% compared to the previous year and the number of companies visiting the campus has increased.

 “The placement season which started during August 2019, has seen more than 60 companies visiting the campus and recruiting 351 plus students with the highest salary being offered Rs 11.06 lakh per annum (LPA).”

Accenture, an IT major, has recruited 108 students with a salary package of Rs 4.5 LPA.

This year the placement season saw premium recruiters like Juniper Networks (Rs 11.06 LPA), JP Morgan Chase (Rs 11LPA), HPE-R&D (Rs 9.8 LPA), Applied Materials (Rs 9 LPA), Philips (Rs 9 LPA), SAP (Rs 8.5 LPA), ThoughtWorks (Rs 8.3 LPA), Pacific Granites (Rs 6.5 LPA), Nokia (Rs 6.5 LPA), ABB Ltd (Rs 6 LPA) ,Refinitiv (Rs 6 LPA) , JARO (Rs 6 LPA) and several more.

Some of the top recruiters across different sectors who participated at the recruitment drive were:  L&T, E&Y, Aris Global, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini,  Wipro, IBM, DXC-Technology, Trainz, Mindtree, Altran, CGI, Amazon and others.
