Mysuru, August 10:- GSSS Institute of Engineering College for Women, Mysuru, has recorded best placements amid coronavirus pandemic for 2020 outgoing batch students. The average salary offered for the placed students has seen a jump of 28 per cent compared to the previous year and the number of companies visiting the campus has also increased.
“The placement season which started during August 2019 has seen more than 60 companies visiting the campus and recruiting 351 plus students with the highest salary offered being Rs 11.06 lakh per annum.”
Accenture, an IT major has recruited 108 students with a salary package of Rs 4.5 lakh per annum.
The premium recruiters included Juniper Networks (Rs 11.06 LPA),JP Morgan Chase (Rs 11 LPA), HPE-R&D (Rs 9.8 LPA), Applied Materials (Rs 9 LPA), Philips (Rs 9 LPA), SAP(Rs 8.5 LPA) , ThoughtWorks (Rs 8.3 LPA), Pacific Granites (Rs 6.5 LPA), Nokia (Rs 6.5 LPA), ABB Ltd (Rs 6 LPA), Refinitiv (Rs 6 LPA), JARO (Rs 6 LPA) and several other firms.
L&T, E&Y, Aris Global, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Wipro, IBM, DXC-Technology, Trainz, Mindtree, Altran, CGI, Amazon were among the top recruiters in different sectors.
