Mysuru, March 13:- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed by GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru and Indian Society of Lighting Engineers Karnataka State Centre (ISLE-KSC), on Wednesday in Bengaluru to bridge the gap between the industry and institution.

ISLE-KSC is a professional body in the field of lighting technology with a broad-based membership of scientists, engineers, architects, academicians, researchers, designers and others interested in lighting issues.

The SLE-KSC intends to play a role in academic updates in lighting technology, upgrade the skills of electrical engineers which is required to meet the industrial needs and to create better employability and also helps to carry out research work in the field of lighting technology.

The objective of the MoU is to impart technical assistance to carry out specific research development activities, to promote projects and internships with new technology related to lighting engineering and also to extend assistance for developing programme-specific laboratories in the institution for the benefit of students and society.

The MoU was signed by Dr M Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW, Mysuru and Arshi Krishnachar, Chairman ISLE-KSC Bangaluru.
