Mysuru, April 4:- World Water Day is celebrated every year on March 22 to create awareness on water conservation for the future.
NSS unit of GSSSIETW and Siddalingapura village panchayat jointly organised World Water Day at Government Higher Primary School in Siddalingapura village. Boregowda N N, panchayat development officer, Siddalingapura, was the chief guest.
In his speech, he emphasised the importance of saving water resources for our future generations. Prakash A S, head master, Government Higher Primary School, Siddalingapura, spoke about the relevant measures that have to be taken in order to minimise water scarcity, water pollution, inadequate water supply, lack of sanitation and the impact on climate change. NSS volunteers shared their views regarding the water crisis.
