Mysuru, June 24:- It appears that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jananta Dal (Secular) have joined hands together in Chamundeshwari Constituency.
District In-charge Minister GT Devegowda who represents Chamundeshwari Constituency and Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha are keeping aside their political identities and showing unity at public programmes. Both performed guddali puja (ground breaking ceremony) for development works in the constituency.
The minister and the Lok Sabha member inaugurated drinking water unit at Maratikyathanahalli together and performed guddali puja for panchayat building. They also had non-veg meal sitting together at the residence of a JD(S) worker.
Simha who was re-elected from the Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha elections had secured the maximum number of votes in Chamundeshwari Constituency. He is said to have identified himself closely with the minister since then. (KS, NGB)
