MLA GT Devegowda challenges CM Siddaramaiah to contest from Chamundeshwari

Mysuru, February 10:- In response to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s statement that he would win from any of the 224 constituencies in the state in the Assembly elections, Janata Dal (Secular) MLA G T Devegowda challenged the Kuruba strongman on Saturday, “If you have the guts, contest from Chamundeshwari Constituency.”

Gowda alleged that Siddaramaiah’s son and his followers are inaugurating government projects without his intimation. “Who is Yatindra Siddaramaiah to inaugurate government projects? The Congress which calls BJP as anti-democratic is actually not democratic.”

“You have sidelined Dalit leader V Srinivas Prasad, AH Vishwanath, Ambareesh and Satish Jarakiholi who have worked for you. Your secretary Ramaiah has become a looter. Advisor to Home Minister, Kempaiah has become ‘collection’ Kempaiah,” he alleged.

Throughout the press meet, Devegowda alleged that his followers are being threatened. Gowda expressed serious doubts over the elections being held transparently.

“I am not a man of compromises. The blessings of the people are on me. How did Siddaramaiah’s son Rakesh die? Why his final rites were held in a forest? How Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sushma Swaraj helped in bringing his body to India?” Gowda questioned.

Srirampura village panchayat president Chudamani, Shivamurthy, Dinesh, Devaraj and others were present. (MR/KMR).
