MLA GT Devegowda hails Dr Ambedkar’s contributions

Prime News, National, Karnataka, Constitution, Democracy, Politics, Mysuru, April 30:- “Architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr B R Ambedkar, is better known as the creative man and a great power that India has ever seen,” said Chamundeshwari constituency MLA G T Devegowda.

Devegowda attended a slew of events held at Bommanahalli village in Mysuru taluk on Friday (April 29).

He took part in the 131st birth anniversary celebration of Dr Ambedkar, inauguration of a school, foundation stone for pure drinking water plant installation, construction of a compound wall for a park.
Speaking on the occasion, Devegowda said “Dr Ambedkar fought alone for the betterment and welfare of the under-privileged. India has one of the finest Constitutions in the world and Dr Ambedkar is its chief architect. He emphasised that all religions are the same.”
‘Dr Ambedkar has fought against injustice, inequality and exploitation. His thoughts are still relevant today, as a brave leader who showed the way to a life of self-respect for all the oppressed and the exploited,” he recalled.
President of Nagavala Zilla Panchayat Nagavaala Narendra, former vice-president of Taluk Panchayat N B Manju, Vijayanagara Manju, Kumar, ZP members, leaders and others were present. (AM/GK)
