Mysuru, July 30:- “It has come to my notice that Yuvaraja college is struggling because of the shortage of lecturers and guest lecturers. It has been decided to appoint them as soon as possible,” said higher education minister G T Devegowda. He was speaking after inaugurating various programmes in the city on Sunday.
“Students of the had staged a protest by boycotting classes. I came to know about this through media. Appointment of 5,000 guest lecturers will be held soon. The government is ready to increase the quality of higher education. The services of 10,500 guest lecturers will be continued this year as well. Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has granted Rs 250 crore for the construction of college buildings and basic amenities. Rs 750 crore additional amount is required, which will be collected through CSR funds,” he Devegowda added.
He inaugurated the development works of high tension park at Sharadadevi Nagar and instructed to identify three more parks in the city.
