Beeda shop owner threatened by gun wielding duo, land in police custody  

In a shocking incident that came to light on Saturday, two persons were allegedly beaten up by public after they tried to frighten a person with firearms.

On Friday, a gang of five persons allegedly entered a Beeda shop in Gokulam second stage and huff a person named Ramakrishna with a gun. It is alleged that Ramakrishna had given Rs 1 lakh to a person in the gang for a certain work, but when he failed to complete the work, he demanded to return his money back. But on Friday, it is alleged that a five-member gang attacked Ramakrishna at the Beeda shop and attempted to scare him with the gun. The public, who were curiously watching the incident, nabbed two persons and allegedly beat them up.

Later, accused Muralikrishna and Diwakar were handed over to Jayalakshmipuram Police Station.

Sources said that the duo has now been admitted to the hospital and a case has been registered against them by Ramakrishna. DCP (Law and Order) Dr H T Shekhar along with his staff visited the sport and gathered information on the incident. Further investigations are on.
