Gunmen attacks a school in Philippines: Students held hostage

Prime News, International, Philippines, June 21:- Pro-Islamic militants have stormed a school in the southern Philippines on June 20 reported.

The Philippines government troops and militants holding a fight on the same Island for the last five weeks, according to police sources, some 300 men belonging to Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF), stormed a school in Pigcawayan town in North Cotabato province on Mindanao Island and were holding some students confined. Police trying to ascertain the numbers of civil trapped in the school.

Pigcawayan is 190 km (120 miles) south of Marawi City, where BIFF militants, along with some other militant groups associated with Islamic State, fighting the Philippines military since May 23 and trying to figure out any causality.
