HD Kote will be developed further as a tourist spot: Minister ST Somashekar

Prime News, Karnataka, Tourism, Mysuru, February 23:- The Kabini Reservoir in Heggada Devana Kote will be developed on the lines of Brindavan Gardens at Krishna Raja Sagar, said District In-charge Minister S T Somashekar here on Tuesday (February 23). “Rs 48 crore will be earmarked for the project in the ensuing state Budget.”

He was talking to reporters after inaugurating a welcome arch at Kanchamalli village in H D Kote taluk. “People have heard of H D Kote but they may not know its important tourist spots. The welcome arch will go a long way in informing the tourists about HD Kote.”

The minister added, “An important bridge is being built in H D Kote. In the coming days, we will be planning more developmental works to help the taluk grow. We have also planned the development of tourism in this region.”

HD Kote MLA Anil Chikkamadu, Zilla Panchayat president Parimala Shyam and other officials were present on the occasion. (MR/GK)
