H M Rangaiah, actor, director and theatre personality from Tumkur was felicitated on the occassion of Navaratri Rangothsava at Bhoomigeetha of Rangayana, on Thursday evening.
Addressing the audience, Rangaiah remembered his early days with B V Karanth and said that he is closely associated with Rangayana since many decades. “I am privileged to be felicitated by renowned theatre personality Na Ratna and Prof Govindarao,” he said.
I was not this happy when I was honoured with national award where I received Rs 1,00,000 and 20 gram gold medal from the Chief Minister. But as soon as I learnt about me being felicitated as an achiever in the field of theatre, I was on cloud nine,” he added.
Senior theatre artiste Na Ratna, Prof G K Govindarao, Deputy director of Rangayana Nirmala Matapathi, coordinator Vinayakabhat Haasanagi, Krishnaprasad and others were present.
