Hackathon Code Yuddha organised at MIT

The day-long battle between coding wizards from different colleges took place in Maharaja Institute of Technology (MIT) campus with over three hundred participants exercising fresh and innovative ideas to win the prize.

The 24-hour Hackathon named Code Yuddha is the third of its kind event conducted by MIT, recently.

Team ‘Happy feet’ members consisting of Poornepragnya, Nagesh Kashyap, Yeshwanth M V, Amith Kumar T K, Chiranth S, Abhishek B, Koushik P S were declared the winners with a cash prize of ten thousand rupees, followed by team “MIT Kart’ consisting of Rahul S, Suhas Pradhan, ziqulla Sheriff, Vikram Baliga, V Pawan, Syed Nawaz taking the second place and “Placement Pro team” consisting of Ranjitha C S, Meghana B R, Apoorva M A, Harshitha M S taking the third place.

Qwinix Technologies, an agile software development company, played the role of training, mentoring and judging the Hackathon participants, assisting them to bring their ideas to life.

Encouraging participants Prof B G Naresh Kumar, Principal of the College suggested them to accept this opportunity for bringing about a social change.

Events like this are a great platform for young students to enrich their resume and get exposure to new technologies, he said.

“Out of around 30 teams, at least 10 teams exceeded our expectation with their ideation and approach” said Mahesh Chinnaswamy, the Vice President, Qwinix Technologies.
