Mysuru, August 6:- “People who have gone to foreign countries in search of jobs have grown in business and have earned a name for Karnataka,” said former vice chancellor of University of Mysore, Prof M Mahadevappa here on Saturday.
He was speaking at the summit of NRI industrialists held at a private hotel on Saturday. He appreciated the central government for introducing a separate ministry for NRI industries.
“The history of NRIs dates back to the pre-colonial era. With the passing of time, Indians have found success in their ventures where they are living. We should be proud of Kannadigas who have held the office of importance in foreign countries. Their success should be cherished,” he added.
President of Navika association Suresh Ramachandra, secretary of NRI forum K Muralidhar, Smruti Manoj, Madhusudan Shastry and others were present. (MR/KS).
