Happy that the Brahmin community united: D T Prakash

Mysuru, December 3:- Mysuru City Brahmins’ Association organised a bike rally from Yoga Narasimhaswamy Temple to Ganapathy Sachidananda Ashrama here on Sunday.

Seer Elai Alvar of Vengipura Mutt flagged off the rally. More than 800 members from the community took part in the bike rally. The rally went through Lakshmi Venkataramana Temple at Vontikoppal, Andal Temple, Yathiraja Mutt, Krishnadhama, Bhandarakeri Mutt, Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple, Parakala Mutt, Shankara Mutt, Ramanuja Road, Chamundipuram Circle, Vidyaranyapuram Avani Shankara Mutt and J P Nagar Vittala Dhama.

“The educated generation of the community have to be brought to the mainstream. Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and public representatives will take part in the mega convention on December 15 and 16. The community will demand government facilities for financially backward families of the community, caste certificate and Gayatri Bhavan besides other demands,” said D T Prakash.

BJP leader H V Rajeev, former chairperson of MUDA K R Mohan Kumar, former mayor R J Narasimha Iyengar, corporator M V Ramaprasad, working president Gopal Rao, Krishnadas Puranik, H N Sridharamurthy, Ajay Shastry, Vikram Iyengar, Sudhindra, Chakrapani, Srinivas Bhashyam and others were present.
