Hassan Cong workers complain to Siddu against Revanna

Bengaluru:  It is tough to run a coalition government in a country like India. With different ideologies and political pressures, the Congress-JD(S) government in the state is realising it is not a bed of roses to run the show.  Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s brother, PWD minister H D Revanna is always in the news for his style of functioning.

Hundreds of Congress workers from Hassan, a strong bastion of Gowda family, on Thursday met former chief minister Siddaramaiah to air their grievances against Revanna. They accused of him neglecting Congress belts while implementing developmental works. The allegation is that panchayat development officers have been advised not to consider applications submitted by those from the Congress. They also informed Siddaramaiah that top Congress leaders, including D K Shivakumar, were not ready to listen to them pertaining to this particular issue.

In fact, the Congress workers even met KPCC president Dinesh Gunudrao who promised to talk to Kumaraswamy and Revanna to thrash out the differences.

Asked for his comment, Revanna brushed aside the allegations as fabricated. (MR).
