Political News, State, (Hassan), April 3:-Animal Husbandry Minister A Manju who had been served notice for violation of election code of conduct in the run-up to May 12 Assembly elections in Karnataka has sought two days time to respond.
District Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, who is also the district returning officer, confirmed that the minister had sought time.
He was to make his stand by 10 am on Monday as per the notice.
Manju, who is the district in-charge minister of Hassan, has been at loggerhead with the Deputy Commissioner and had been reportedly making all efforts seek her transfer was issued the notice as his staff was found carrying out election related work for May 12 Assembly polls in the Inspection Bungalow belonging to Public Works Department (PWD).
Even after a flying squad deputed by her did not succeed in evicting the staff, the premises was locked from outside at her behest on Saturday.
