Have a jail tour: IAS officers novel idea to stop corruption

Prime News, National June 23:-If Farrukhabad District Magistrate and IAS officer Ravindra Kumar idea implemented then batch by batch government officials will have a glimpse of jail life.

The proposal in this regard designed, and 575 government officials chosen to undergo a jail visit, mainly consist of land revenue department as the most cases of corruption reported from this department.

The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer said, “The tour highlights of their colleagues who lodged in the jails for bribe and how they are leading a jail life, it will instil the fear in the minds of officers”.

The IAS officer prepared the list of government officials including all kotedars, BDOs, grampanchyat Adhikaris and Vikas Vibhag officials, asked to visit jail once and understand how the life like in jail.

The officer believed that even inquiry officers involved in corruption, even after FIRs lodged the cases get diluted and the facts are suppressed, the visiting guests will interact with inmates about jail life.
