Mysuru, December 9:- Reacting to arrest of senior journalist Ravi Belagere by the Bengaluru CCB on Friday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said he had no clue whatsoever. “I don’t have information on why he was arrested,” the Chief Minister feigned ignorance.
Addressing to media persons at his residence in Ramakrishnagar in the city, Siddaramaiah said, “I was not informed on why Belagere was arrested and taken to custody. I will collect more information on this and then comment.”
Speaking about Gujarat polls, Chief Minister said, “Since I haven’t attended any campaign, I can’t judge the outcome of the result, but there are presages that BJP is going to lose in the elections,” he added.
I have advised Pratap Simha to change his attitude
Speaking to media, the Chief Minister said, “I met Simha at a programme yesterday and told him to change his attitude and have urged him not to give silly statements. I have also advised him to take my words seriously since he is still new to the politics.”
Let Sadananda Gowda contest from Varuna
Referring to a comment made by former chief minister and BJP leader Sadananda Gowda about him, Siddaramaiah said, “Sadananda Gowda has said that there is no encouraging atmosphere in Varuna. If he is so sure about this, let him come and contest from the Varuna constituency. What’s the relationship between Sadananda Gowda and Varuna Constituency?” he asked. (MR, KK).
