A convention of BSP and JD(S) was organised at Boothale Ground at Vidyaranyapuram in the city.
“BJP and Congress leaders are touring the state. Congress national president Rahul Gandhi made allegations against me and the party. I can also make allegations against him. I can debate on the leaders of the BJP and the Congress for a day. But it is a waste of time. I am not an opportunist. I have not come here for caste politics. You have all seen what BJP and Congress have done to the state when they were in power. I have given good governance when I was chief minister for 20 months. No one could solve the problem of Sewage farm so far. I provided houses to the poor. Analyse the contributions of governments to education. If we come back to power, we will introduce some better scheme instead of Mathrupurna. We will provide Rs 6,500 to mothers. We will provide jobs to the youths,” he added.
JD(S) leaders were present on the occasion. (MR/KS).
