Mysuru, February 9:- “Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has presented the state budget again. He has introduced several schemes, saying he has presented a pro-farmer budget. He had assured of waiving off the loans of farmers after forming the government. But many farmers have ended their lives as the loans are not waived off. He has spoken the same thing again. This budget has no farsightedness,” said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) city president Dr Manjunath BH in his media release on Saturday.
“Farmers won’t get loans from the banks unless the earlier loans are cleared. He has presented a budget without letting the people know what all the programmes of the previous budget have been implemented?” he said.
“Presenting a huge amount of budget is not an achievement. The government should think of accumulating revenue to implement the programmes. Instead of emptying the state treasury and making loans to introduce schemes, if the government had thought of accumulating resources, the people would have believed in the budget. We had expected a budget giving emphasis to the medical field, education, employment generation and trade development,” he added. (MR/SH)
