With Ugadi festival around the corner, get set for a shopping-spree as The Department of Handloom and Textiles and JSS Urban Haat bring in weavers from across our country who will display a vast range of their exquisite handloom products at Special Handloom Expo – Samskruthi 2016 at JSS Mysore Urban Haat from tomorrow.
The 15-day Handloom Expo which will be held between March 24 and April 7 will give a fabulous opportunity to Mysureans as well as the tourists to shop for anything from sarees to bed sheets at very reasonable prices. The products on display will include sarees, stoles, dress materials, shawls, kurtas and kurtis.
Wait no more! This is surely going to be a delightful display of handlooms. Visitors will be spoilt for choice among a vast variety of ethnic fabric. Lose yourself in the luxuriousness of these weaves! Presenting to you the special Handloom Expo with a brilliant collection of Karnataka silk sarees, Molakalmuru Sarees, Ilakal Sarees, Kasuthi sarees, Kanjivaram silk sarees from Tamil Nadu, Tussar silk sarees from Bihar, Kantha stitch sarees, Balachuri Sarees, boutique sarees and dresses, Bengali cotton sarees from Westbengal, Banaras sarees and dress materials, chicken embroidery from Uttarpradhesh and Chandheri, Maheshwari sarees from MP, Bomkai, Ikkath, Sambalpuri Sarees from Orissa.
Customers can also choose from Kashmiri handlooms, Patola Silk Sarees, Gujarati dresses from Gujarath, Uppada silk, Godhval Sarees, Kalamkari vegetable print dress materials, Pochampalli Dress from AP, Chennapattan toys and plenty of terracotta items among other handicraft and handlooms items will also be displayed.
The expo will be kept open from 10 am to 9 pm daily at Plot # 432, Hebbal Industrial area, Ring Road, Mysuru.
