Prime News, Health, Karnataka, Bengaluru, March 10:- Health Minister B Sriramulu on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to the Kempegowda International Airport and checked all measures taken by authorities and doctors to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus.
Speaking to media, the minister said that four cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Karnataka.
A 41-year-old software engineer working at a multi-national company (MNC) in Bengaluru has tested positive for Covid-19. The engineer had left Austin for New York in the US on February 28. The next day, he boarded a flight to Dubai and reached India on March 1.
He had come in contact with 2,666 people on his journey back home, according to officials. Three teams have been formed to trace all those who were exposed to him at workplace in Bengaluru and his east Bengaluru apartment.
Till date, 45 people have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus infection across the country. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
