Mysuru, May 15:- “Health services in India need to be developed. They should be poor oriented to reach everyone,” said Rajiv Gandhi Health University best service awardee Mildred Rani. She was speaking on the occasion of International Day of Nurses held at Rajendra Bhavan of JSS hospital on Monday.
“Doctors should not be just profession-oriented. They should cultivate human values. Every year thousands of nursing students come out of institutions. But all of them do not get placed. Those who get a job think that their learning process has ended. But nursing profession is a never-ending process,” she added.
Executive secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Dr C G Betsurmath, medical education director R Mahesh, Dr M Guruswamy and others were present. (MR/BM)
