Hearing aid repair camp begins at AIISH

Department of Electronics, AIISH, Mysuru has organised a five-day camp for ‘free repair of hearing aids”.  MLA Vasu inaugurated the camp. In his inaugural address, Vasu appreciated the services provided by the institute to the citizens of Mysuru as well as people of his constituency. He added that the programme will be beneficial for all people from lower income group and urged all the hearing aid users in and around Mysuru to attend the camp and utilize this opportunity.

R Guru, chairman, N R Group, was the chief guest for the inaugural function of the camp.  In his address, he lauded the efforts made by AIISH to conduct such programmes for the benefit of the persons with hearing impairment in and around Mysuru. He expressed gratitude for the staff of AIISH for providing such services to people with hearing impairment amidst other responsibilities of an institute under the government of India. He requested the institute to conduct many such programmes in future.

Dr S R Savithri, director, AIISH, in her presidential address, mentioned that assisting persons with hearing impairment by providing hearing aids is one of the thrust programs at the institute.  She added that any individual with hearing aid can walk in and get his hearing aid serviced and repaired free of cost in this camp.
