Heavy price for questioning uncle’s love affair

Mysuru, October 26:- He had to pay a heavy price for questioning his uncle’s illicit affair. He was constantly harassed for questioning it and the whole issue ended up in the youth committing suicide here on Wednesday.

The deceased who committed suicide by hanging has been identified as Naveen Nayaka of D Salundi village. He has written a death note of six pages and has uploaded it on Facebook. In the letter, he has explained that his aunt Mangala and uncle Hanumanthu had an illicit affair and they were torturing him for questioning them and unable to bear their torture, decided to commit suicide.

He has requested Jayapura police to not close the case but to investigate. Though he had mentioned that he was committing suicide because of  torture, the Jayapura police have not yet visited the spot and registered a complaint. Police officials say  they can’t register a case until they receive a complaint from the youth’s family.

When the body was being taken to the graveyard for cremation,  police intervened and took the body to K R Hospital for postmortem. As the whole incident was under the media glare, police asked Nayaka’s family to file a complaint. The family members even tried to attack media persons. (MR/KS).
