Mysuru, January 18:- “Souhardhathegagi Karnataka is organising a huge human chain on January 30 here in the city. Prior to it, a meeting will be held at Govardhan hotel on January 21,” said the leaders of the organisation at a press meet at Mysuru press club on Thursday.
“Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde who speaks lightly of progressive thinkers and writers is equal to a pig that feasts on garbage. Secular political parties, progressive thinkers will take part in the convention on January 21,” said the president of backward communities awareness committee, K S Shivaram.
“Though Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advised him not speak on such issues publicly, the minister has continued his unacceptable behaviour. Communal riots are taking place in the state due to statements issued by Hegde, MPs Pratap Simha, and Shobha Karandlaje,” Shivaram pointed out.
“Voters should teach a lesson to those who make politics in the name of caste and religion in the coming elections. Hegde who spoke about the Indian Constitution is not even equal to the dust on the feet of Dr Ambedkar. We will stage a protest against the Minister who is visiting the city on January 25,” he added.
