Helping Hands celebrates Kanakadasa Jayanti

Mysuru, November 15:- Helping Hands on Friday celebrated 532nd Kanakadasa Jayanti at its adopted school at Ittegegud here by offering puja to the portrait of  Kanakadasa.

Speaking on the occasion, secretary Anand Patwa said that Kanakadasa was a great and popular philosopher, musician and composer. “He promoted ideas like the ability of every man to eliminate ego and attain salvation. He made a revolution for creating casteless society and equality among upper and lower castes.” He stated that each and every person should follow the principles of Kanakadasa.

Treasurer Anand Patwa, Prakash Gandhi, corporator Chaya Devi, Kannada Kriya Vedike president Neelkanth and school headmaster Mallangi Suresh were present on the occasion. (MR)
